Luckily, it actually stopped raining!
We had a really relaxed time back at forest school, thinking deeper about soil through our topic work. In geography we have been learning about the layers of the earth (or 'horizons'). We used our glass jars to show the different soil layers and had fun digging! Amongst the usual creepy crawlies, we found the longest earthworm any of us had even seen!
