Chicks!!

Foundation Stage have been really lucky this week to have a delivery of 10 eggs. The incubator is set at 37.7 C to keep them warm. The children have been really excited watching for any arrivals!
On Wednesday at 2.40pm, we welcomed our first chick into school! She was closely followed by 3 more chicks.

The reason we know it is a girl is because the girl chicks are darker than the boys.
On Thursday when we came into school there were SIX chicks! The staff and children were very excited!
Mrs Cook then moved the chicks to another box called a 'brooding box'.
Here they get water and food.
Another chick decided to make another experience on Thursday.

All of the children had the opportunity to touch and hold the chicks today. Here are Class 1 children meeting them.
