FS Science Week
Classes 1, 2 and 3 have been busy planting, observing and watering this week, which has been a great week for our growing topic as we've had a lovely sunny day and a bit of rain too! Between us we're growing cress, potatoes and beans and recently we've drawn and painted observational pictures of flowers too, talking about the parts of a plant and having a go at some labelling.

What on earth happened??
Disaster struck in the Foundation Stages classes (2 and 3) on Friday! We came back in from lunch to find a terrible mess in each of the classrooms. All the children were shocked and there were lots of sharp intakes of breath and, thankfully, offers of "I'll help tidy up!" (Strangely, the teachers had recently been talking a lot about looking after our resources and classrooms!) The rooms were tidied in no time due to great teamwork. Well done Class 2 and 3!
We made a list of all the things found on the floor so that we could report the incident to Mrs Li-Koo. We've put some posters up too so that others classes can be aware of what could happen if we're not all on the look out!

Foundation Stage Dad's Afternoon
It was lovely to see so many Dads, Grandads, and Uncles this afternoon in the Foundation Stage. Our visitors spent time exploring the different activities, with the children as their guides. Lots of time was also spent enjoying stories. There were some great games going on in the garden too! Thank you very much for supporting us by coming to this session. A few Dads also managed to attend our Phonics Meeting this afternoon and we are looking forward to seeing more at our second session this evening. Thank you all for coming!

FS morning at Forest School
The children had a lovely morning toasting marshmallows on their first fire at Forest School this morning. Thank you especially to Mrs Boden who has run some fantastic sessions this year, and also to all our great parent helpers! We couldn't do it without you!
