Skate-ability

Today, Year 3-6 took part in 'Skate-ability'. Lead by Adam, the children learned about the necessary safety equipment to wear and the risks of this sport. Children learned how to jump on and off the skateboard, how to balance on the moving skateboard and how to perform some tricks to get on the skateboard. All children thoroughly enjoyed this and learnt a lot.

Trying out our tennis skills

Year 3 had a taster of tennis this afternoon, practising our ball control and racket swings. We now have a number of budding tennis fans!

Kamdi and Ollie said, “Our tennis trial was lots of fun.” At the end of the session, our sports leader Matt spoke to the children about trying with nets at the club.  They both thought that sounded like even more fun.

Dance visitors from Didcot Girl's School in FS

We had some amazing visitors on Friday who came to show us their dance routines. One dance that they shared with us will be performed in a National competition they have entered! After watching for a while the girls then took small groups of children and worked on a short routine with them which they then performed for everyone. Once we returned to our classrooms it was lovely to see so many children carry on and continue to dance and make up more of their own routines!
