Money Matters: Day 1

Today, Year 6 children started their 'Young Enterprise' week by learning about what a business is and about the different departments that a business may have. The children worked in a team to designate themselves in various managerial roles. The children played: 'The Bead Game' where they were given a loan, had to make and sell a product with the aim of making a profit. A great first day for this enterprising week!

Money Matters Day 1

Year 6 have had a fantastic start to their annual Money Matters Week. This year we are going to be selling Christmas Crafts at our "pop-up shop" on Friday 8th December and splitting our profits between a good cause and the end of year party.

We had a great day with Cassandra Cardiff, from Young Enterprise, learning about our business skills and selecting our managerial roles.

In the afternoon we took part in "the Bead Game", buying beads from Mrs Owen to make bracelets to sell to Miss Zebrowski. Some teams made almost £700 profit in an hour alone!

Don't forget to check back on the blog throughout the week to hear more updates about how we're getting on!
