Tournament success!

The school football team were delighted to win the Gerring Cup on Tuesday after beating Manor School in the final.

The afternoon didn't get off to a good start when Ladygrove lost to Cholsey with a goal in the dying seconds. But a straightforward win over Harwell got us into the quarter-finals. There was another easy win against Fir Tree school to get us into the semis and a 3-0 win over a strong South Moreton team with goals from Seth and a fantastic header from Scott to get us to the finals.

The last match was 0-0 at full time but at the end of the first half of extra time, Seth scored. Manor tried a cheeky shot from the kick off but Chloe in goal was alert and kept the ball out of the net. Everyone agreed that the best team won!

Have a look at the trophy in the new display cabinet next time you are going past the office.

Well done to all of the team for an excellent performance with some lovely football. My thanks also to the parents who gave such positive support.
