Having made it through to the semi-finals of the Garrick League, our team squared up to Crowmarsh – a team we had not met before. Ladygrove led from the start in a fast, skilful match. The final score was 16-4 to Ladygrove. After re-fuelling with drinks and biscuits, we faced Blewbury – a team we had been beaten by previously. Buoyant from our semi-final victory and incredible team spirit, we went into the final in a positive mood. Blewbury had some good players, but our players marked brilliantly and found spaces when they needed to. Accurate passing and fantastic shooting meant we went into an early lead. Several injuries later we beat Blewbury by 17 - 4 in a convincing win. Every member of the squad scored. The high 5ers were, once again, a credit to themselves and the school. The Garrick Shield will be on display in the trophy cabinet as soon as it has been engraved. Well done everyone!
