Waiting with anticipation on a very cold day, the A team discussed tactics before the arrival of the All Saints team. The team, led by captain Joel, had waited eagerly for the second part of this local derby.
During the first quarter, All Saints defence watched as shots went over their heads again and again into their goal. This continued into the second quarter – although, despite an injury, All Saints put up a spirited defence. The second half saw more excellent shooting from the Ladygrove team, and a winning scoreline of 19-0.
It was particularly pleasing that Mrs Buller, the headteacher at All Saints, commented that the Ladygrove team had some friendly players and that “Seth was a lovely boy”.
Well done, A team.
