Birthday week comes to a close

It was the final day of 10th birthday celebrations today. There were more visitors, including Mr Harbour the lord mayor and Mrs Bennie who gave us a framed enlargement of a photograph taken by Mrs Behennah of the school in the snow (a blog entry from 4th February). There was a special assembly after play when the children shared some of the 10th birthday work they had been doing during the week. And then it was birthday parties including lollies and ice cream for some classes.

It has been an exciting week and we hope your child has enjoyed the special events. The visitors have been very complementary about the children and in particular, the year 6 guides who have done a brilliant job being "ambassadors for the school" as one of the visitors said. You can read their comments in the visitors' book.
