Happy Birthday Ladygrove Park

This week, the school is celebrating its 10th birthday.

This morning all the children and staff were given a Happy Birthday badge, a present chosen by the school council. At a special assembly, Ryan, who will be 10 years old tomorrow, unwrapped one of 10 totem poles that will be decorated with designs by each class in the school. We had three special guests at the assembly who were each presented with a special badge; Amanda Harbour, the mayoress, Captain John Flood, the school's first chair of governors and Becky Carter, the current chair. The children sang Happy Birthday and David Burrows, the headteacher, was presented with wine bottled in 1999.

We will update the blog with more news of the 10th birthday through the week.
