Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your ears...!
Year 3 had a wonderful day with a visiting museum company who brought Roman history alive for the children with a wide range of activities including making: perfumed oils; wax writing tablets; inks for writing; mosaics, oil lamps, as well as 'digging' for Roman artefacts. The children gamely entered into the spirit of the day by dressing up in impressive home-made togas, wreaths and sandals. They particularly enjoyed the Roman banquet in the afternoon! The Romans has obviously been a very successful, highly enjoyable topic for the children as demonstrated by the extremely high quality of their topic homework this term. We would like to thank all our parents for their support with all our children's homework. Some pieces will be on display in our 'museum gallery' outside the office - feel free to come and have a look.
