High 14
The High 5 Team, led by captain Becky, were prepared for a tough game against Manor School this evening. In the first quarter, Dan and Katie spent most of their time practising passing to each other over the net – then Katie found her form and scored 3 brilliant goals. Jordan and Matthew made sure that Manor only had a couple of opportunities to play the ball at their end, and quickly returned the ball to our players. During the second quarter, Darcey and Becky worked hard to ensure that JT was fed with good balls resulting in another 2 goals. Jordan set up great first passes during her stint as centre in the 3rd quarter, which meant that Matthew had several great goal opportunities, and although he teased Manor to begin with and missed a couple of shots, he quickly showed them that he meant business – reflected in the scoresheet by another 4 goals. Although by the final quarter Manor seemed a little defeated, they rallied and had one opportunity at goal, which sadly they missed. Katie played to Jordan and Dan's strengths - and fed them balls into the semi-circle. Jordan scored 2, and Dan a further 3.All round this was an amazing game – the best marking the team has seen this year, a good team spirit and a great win 14 -0. A great contribution to school sport life!!
