Buddy Reading

As part of Storytelling Week the older children have been visiting the younger children to buddy up and read or tell them stories. The older children were delightful with the younger ones: really friendly, caring and patient. They used special storytelling touches like actions, animated voices, whispered asides and additional details or explanations to capture the little ones' attention. It was evident that the younger children really enjoyed being read to, reading to an older friend and sharing stories together!
