The Vikings Invade!

And a warm (sunny!) 'Welcome Back' to school!  Exciting things afoot already this term with Vikings invading Year 2 for a whole day! Year 2 held a Vikings Day when the children all came into school dressed up in authentic costumes and experienced all kinds of activities such as Viking food-tasting, writing their names in runes, viking warrior chanting and parading through assembly in their costumes.  Viking food they tasted included mushrooms, hams, cold porridge and beetroot!
