STRICTLY COME LADYGROVE PARK

Once again, the children in Year 6 have shone. This time performing a range of different dances in our very own Strictly Come Dancing competition in front of the rest of school. The most important audience however, were our resident judges, some of whom had to stand in at the last minute, and had the very difficult task of giving feedback and then deciding on the final winners after a nail-biting 'dance off'. Thank you to Len Richards-Turner, Bruno Whitelock, Craig Grimes and Alesha Bolton for their valuable advice and constructive critisicm.  Brucie McSweeney was on hand to guide the acts through the process.

The performances ranged from street dancing to ballet. Many children showed off the different european dances they learnt this term in PE and we saw some wonderful examples of irish dancing, the Tango and the Waltz.

The initial joint winners were Crazy Stars (Mollie, Rosie, Emily, Ebonie, Sophie and Hannah) with their freestyle dance and Megan and Tom with their performance of the Charleston.  It was a close call but the final decision was that Megan and Tom were crowned the overall winners of Strictly Come Dancing 2010Ladygrove Park.

Congratulations to all participants on outstanding performances.
