Harwell were top of the league table at the start of their game with us, and had already beaten the giants of the league (Fir Tree), so we expected this to be a tough game. We were right! They had a distinct height advantage, so team tactics included a reminder about the bounce pass – excellently used during the game. Hannah started the goal-scoring, hotly pursued by Jack in the first quarter. Harwell then managed to claw back two during the next two quarters. Rosie, who demonstrated dogged-determination in getting the ball, scored one herself, which put us one ahead. Then Harwell equalised. An air of silence fell around the court. Luckily, Emily and Jack – in a fine show of teamwork – scored one each – Jack's in the final few seconds of the game. A special mention goes to Harry S, who listened to advice following yesterday's match – and did a really good job!
