Goodbye to the Chinese visitors

Tuesday was the final day for our Chinese visitors. They spent the morning at Wittenham Clumps with a group of year 4 teachers building a shelter and toasting marshmallows around a fire.

They said goodbye to the school at an afternoon assembly before going off to a final supper date. Then it was an hours disco before they caught the train back to Oxford. They have a few days in London before flying back to Changsha on Friday.
It has been a great experience for the visitors who really appreciated the friendly welcome they received. I also think it has been fantastic for our children; they were great hosts, friendly, helpful and generous. An especial thank you to parents who volunteered to host the children and teachers in their homes.
