Over the last couple of weeks the children in FS have taken turns to visit the Botanic Gardens in Oxford. Travelling on the big coach was a highlight of course but we also got up to all sorts of things when we were there! We listened to the story of Peter Rabbit and then hunted for all the vegetables we thought he might like to eat. We looked for bugs and found woodlice, centipedes, slugs and ants. We found a mulberry bush and sang the circle song around it. Then there was a scavenger hunt and we filled up our envelopes with lots of lovely treasures. There were a few close encounters with ducks. We sang the rainbow song and then spotted those colours around the garden.The sun shone on us for each trip and we had lots of lovely parent helpers.
