Fairytale Fun in the Forest

On Thursday, Year 3 went to visit the Earth Trust at Wittenham Clumps and spent the day out in the woods. We spent our time getting inspiration for our fairytale stories that we are writing this term. It was fantastic to listen, touch, look at and even smell the surroundings. The children built dens and thought about what it might be like to live in the woods - like some of our fairytale characters.

We also made clay faces and figures to represent the story of the Green Man who lives in the forest and other fairytale characters.
