VE Celebrations in Year 3

What a fantastic end to our World War 2 topic!
This afternoon children in year 3 welcomed their parents and grand parents to our VE Day celebration in the courtyard. A lot of hard work had gone into the preparation for this event, with the children making bunting, banners, flags and producing all the delicious food. This included SPAM sandwiches (of course!) and special WW2 delicacies like Anzac Biscuits, Egg-less Cakes and Breakfast Rolls that were prepared with our cookery teacher Mrs Johnson.
We enjoyed playing traditional games from wartime and enjoyed listening to the music from that era. We think everyone enjoyed the party!
