Year 6 Eurovision Song Contest

Year 6 children wowed the school with their cover versions of well-known pop songs which they had rewritten with lyrics dedicated to their chosen European country.

The contest saw representatives from France, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Portugal, Ireland, Spain, Sweden, Russia and Belgium sing and dance their hearts out and demonstrate how much they had learnt about Europe this term.

In a closely fought contest, the Fuzzy Russians won the award for best lyrics whilst best overall performance went to the Swedish entry, Mixed Up Madness, Paella United being the runners-up.

Thanks to all the children for making it such a great show to watch and also to our judges, Miss De Santis, Mr Morgan and Miss Young.
