Each group were given a fraction and they had to fill a bowl with snow to represent the fraction they were given. There were lots of great mathematical discussions on how to work it out and the children really enjoyed it.
They then estimated how much liquid there would be once the snow melted. We are awaiting on the results in our nice warm classroom...
