High 5 Netball - a friendly and a league match

Ladygrove V All Saints

 We started off the afternoon’s games with a friendly match where most of our new High 5 players had a chance to show off their skills. With a 9 strong squad there were lots of changes but we played well and held our nerve which resulted in holding the All Saints team to a 1 all draw. A superb first game for lots of the players. A massive well done to Team Ladygrove ! Congratulations to Daya Singh for being awarded Player of the Match by the All Saints Team.

 Our Garrick League High Fivers had another great game ending with a nail biting 7 all draw against the current league leaders, All Saints School today.

With our Year 6’s arriving at the very last minute, following a school trip, the game started off with us going goal for goal with All Saints.  It was a very fast moving game and there was some lovely play down the court which allowed us to edge into the lead by 1 goal in the final quarter. But All Saints scored the equaliser in the final few seconds. A brilliant team effort, well done everyone! Congratulations to Laura Millar who was awarded player of the match by the All Saints Team.

 Two fabulous games played in great spirit by all.
