Class 13 visited the River Thames today...

...and what a very wet day it was! We really got to see the water cycle in action with all the precipitation falling down on us.

Class 13 didn't let the rain stop them from enjoying the day and showed great enthusiasm in learning about how the river was formed and how the water ends up into the river.

We were lucky enough to see a lock in action and we had a good look at a weir and discovered what it's use was.

Later on in the day there was strong competition from all members of the class as they tried to win at pooh sticks.

We ended the day at the top of Round Hill looking at the landscape around the river and what happens when it floods.

A HUGE thank you to Claire and Charley who looked after us! They provided us with hot chocolate and spare clothes when we were soaked through.
