Year 4 had a fantastic time at Sulgrave Manor on Wednesday. We all dressed up as Tudor children and learned about many different aspects of Tudor life. We played some Tudor games, many of which are recognisable today, like cup and ball and Three Men's Morris, which is basically noughts and crosses! Then we re-enacted the turbulent life of Henry VIII and his many unfortunate wives and off-spring. We finished the day off by having a tour around Sulgrave Manor, where we visited the bed chamber, board room and kitchen. Did you know that they used to swaddle babies onto a board and hang them on the wall to protect them from being eaten by rats?
