Egyptian Day

Last week, Year 4 received visitors from Wantage Museum who lead very engaging and enlightening sessions about Ancient Egyptians. Children had the opportunity to re-enact the Weighing of the Heart ceremony where the Gods decided if you were allowed to enter the underworld - something which Ancient Egyptians also practised when someone died. They also explored ancient artefacts, and became priests turning each other into Mummies.
