Class 13 Victorian School Day

Class 13 have had a fantastic day exploring the Oxfordshire Museum, though most importantly, experiencing how school would have been for a Victorian child. We tried recording work on slates, writing with dip pens in Copper Plate handwriting, Victorian style teaching and of course their punishments!  What was most brilliant is that the children all seemed to enjoy different aspects (or all!) of their day, either looking at the treasures of the museum galleries, looking at local discoveries, the tortures of the classroom, or simply the opportunity to have fun with friends, so there was definitely something for everyone. We would like to thank the Oxfordshire Museum for hosting us, as well as encourage a visit as we definitely could not experience all th

e museum had to offer!
