The two year six classes are using their time post SATs to learn about the importance of money in a topic called Money Matters! They are learning skills such as planning, researching, persuading, negotiating and evaluating.
They have a series of tasks to complete. Last week, they had to organise an run a Bring and Buy Sale with the proceeds going to the charity Water Aid. They raised £140.
This week, they are designing healthy playtime snacks. They have done some research, thought of ideas and they are currently designing prototypes. Everything has to be costed out and will be advertised and sold to the other children in key stage 2 next week.
To add to the excitement, there is a competition between the classes. Class 15 won the Bring and Buy so the pressure is on Class 14!
