A Boy In The Girls' Toilet?!

Year 5 are drawing the term to a close with a lovely celebration of all their impressive, hard work in Sharing Assemblies this week. Their topic was based on the book 'There's A Boy In The Girls' Bathroom' by popular, well-known author Louis Sachar. The children have obviously been developing advanced skills like inference, deduction and empathy as they were able to take us on an engaging journey of the main character's life-changes through the course of the book. They shared a variety of work they'd done including expressive diary writing, exploration of feelings through art, Andy Warhol inspired pop art and optical illusion key scenes from the novel.
