Year 7 versus Year 6 High 5

The long-anticipated match against last year's champions took part on an extremely cold Friday afternoon. Two of the champions were poorly, but fortunately Joe volunteered to help out and proved his value by scoring 2 goals in the first quarter, alongside Katie's one. Despite valiant defence attempts by Jack and Mollie, Darcey scored in the second quarter for the Year 7s. The third quarter saw the return of Matthew to his goal-scoring prime – 5 netted in six minutes! However Sam scored 2 for the year 6 side, in a display of excellent partnership work with Hannah. During the final quarter, Rosie (who played an excellent match) managed to claw back another goal, which was quickly matched and then overtaken by two from Becky for the Year 7s. An extra 6 minutes was then played which saw a well-earned goal for Mollie – who fought with great determination throughout the match – this was equalled by Katie for the Year 7s. Overall the score was 12 – 4.
