Day 2 on residential with Year 6

After a restful, but typical, first night (most of us averaged three hours sleep) we awoke to face a day of water activities at the Dub.
We arrived singing plenty of ‘Repeat After Me’ songs and soon knuckled down to canoeing and raft building. Plenty of us got wet, especially when Mrs Hewerdine and Mrs McSweeney tried to sit on the same end of the raft and the inevitable happened…
With four in a canoe, it all got very competitive in a race and Mrs Davies, Mr Alexander, Natasha and Nyah demonstrated brilliant team work and won, whilst many of the other contestants seemed to be enjoying observing local wildlife as they careered towards the bank. (Too many people trying to steer!!)
After such a hard day (and night) we are pleased to be relaxing by the campfire with some songs. It has been lovely to have Mrs Davies to visit today and we are looking forward to more adventures tomorrow.
