Year 6 take over the school

Yesterday Year six got to experience life in the workplace when they took on roles of adults in the school and became teachers, teaching assistants, caretakers, cooks and headteachers for the day. The children all had to plan and teach two lessons within a small group and across the two key stages. They were quite stunned at how much effort goes into preparing for just one lesson. They also spent some time devising some positive behaviour incentives and there were certificates and stickers galore around the school.

They all worked very hard and enjoyed the experience - so did the teachers, who observed and gave feedback to our budding educators. Well done to both classes!
