Our year 6 cricket team put in some great performances against Long
Wittenham, Stephen Freeman and Blewbury in the league part of the tournament.
There were amazing catches from
Burhan, Dan and Georgia, whilst Benji,
Sophie and Josh showed excellent fielding skills. The first match against Long
Wittenham was a comfortable win (69 to 21), whilst Stephen Freeman beat us by
39 runs. The last league match, against Blewbury, was closely fought, and the
result (Ladygrove 46, Blewbury 26) reflected the supportive teamwork shown by
the players.
We came top of out league and made it to the final, against
Stephen Freeman. Despite their best efforts in a well-matched game, Ladygrove
unfortunately lost by 8 runs.
