Day 2 at Kilvrough is drawing to a close…

Year 6 have come to the end of another day at Kilvrough.

We've had a great day completing our first off-site activities. Groups A and B went canoeing, Group C went rock climbing and abseiling, whilst Groups D and E had a go at body boarding at a nearby beach. Lots of children (and some of the grown ups) faced up to challenges and used their new found confidence to overcome them.

This evening we all went for a walk in the dark to see the ruins of a castle at Three Cliffs Bay. Everyone enjoyed seeing the night sky with almost no light pollution and some of us even spotted a meander (well done for remembering everything you learnt about rivers in Year 5) and explained how it could turn into an Ox-bow lake.

It's been a long day but everyone has had a great time and we're all ready to tuck up in our nice warm beds.

P.S. Thank you for your patience with the lack of photos on the blog posts. We are very limited with our connection to the internet, but can assure you that plenty of photos have been taken and will be shared with you when we're all back in Didcot.
