Dragons' Den

The Dragons come to Year 6

As part of Year 6's Thinking outside the Box topic, we asked children to present their own inventions to the LPPS Dragons' Den.  The ferocious dragons, Mr Markham, Mr Pointer, Mrs Manthorpe,  Mrs Turner and Miss Sonley, asked tough questions about how the inventions worked and what the target audience was; they probed on profit margins and production costs and were eager to know what investment the young inventors wanted from the Dragons.

Everyone gave a fantastic pitch and the Dragons had a tough decision.  The overall winners were Sam's Enabler for people with disabilities, Grace's hair-growing treatment, Ellie and Daisy's plant watering system, Saffron, Alfie and Libby's stretchy shoes for the vertically-challenged and Will and Kenny's solar-powered mobility scooter.

Standing up in front of the whole of Year 6 and those fire-breathing dragons was very brave.  Well done to you all!
