After a *slight* delay leaving school, Year 6 arrived safely at Kilvrough Manor on Monday afternoon where we were greeted by our lovely instructors; Ed, Sam, Jamie, Alex and Piers.
We had a lovely lunch of freshly prepared soup (everyone made sure to make friends with our chef, Pat) and then set about unpacking and making our beds. For some of Year 6, it was a challenge simply getting their mammoth suitcases up the stairs.
After unpacking, we spent the remainder of the afternoon getting to know our teams a little better and completing some assault courses. We carried on our teamwork development in the evening by completing a scavenger hunt known as "nose to the ground".
By the time 9pm came around everyone was very glad to get to bed (especially the staff) and get a good night's sleep to prepare for Day 2's upcoming adventures!
As warned, signal is very limited at the centre - I have tried to upload photos but have had no luck so far! We will try to keep you updated where possible but please be reassured we're taking plenty of photos of the children to share with you when we return to didcot!
